Over the years we’ve seen some pretty amazing classic cars re-enter the market. In fact, a simple look-around online will reveal a number of classic cars in different conditions that are still for sale. Whether it’s an old Pontiac GTO, a Delorean, a classic Aston Martin or an old-school Ferrari, finding the car from yesteryear that you’ve secretly always wanted is now a lot easier.
But what happens when it’s a car you’ve never heard of before – or better yet, one that technically didn’t even exist? Well, for the real antiques and oddities collectors out there, Domino’s has just released one of the last ever models of the A2 pizza delivery vehicle they made in the ’80s – and this thing is flat-out weird.

The A2 was originally designed as a test model for the franchise to try out the idea of having personalized vehicles that would act as forms of advertisements while doing their job. Plus they really wanted to stand out in traffic or on the roads so that you knew whenever someone was ordering a Domino’s pizza! While the concept sounded like a good idea at the time, after commissioning only 10 A2s, the company figured that it wouldn’t be viable for them in the long-term and decided to scratch the idea. Of those 10 cars, it is said that only seven still exist.

The A2 honestly looks like something out of the Jetsons cartoon and will be sure to turn heads. It has two seats and the door opens like a cockpit in an old fighter jet – it’s really crazy! Frankly, the cockpit looks way cooler than suicide doors in our opinion, but it’s not nearly as practical (just cool). The A2 weighs 900 pounds (or just over 400 kg), which makes it pretty light and easy on the miles per gallon.
The car also features a small, but effective, gasoline engine but doesn’t really go very fast – as you can imagine. It also has great handling and can manage a 180-degree turn in no more than seven meters. While it may not be the city car for the future, this retro throwback is probably the only roadworthy one around today and is listed for sale in Ohio, so be sure to act fast if you want it!
