Ranking The Ultimate James Bond Cars

The character of James Bond is synonymous with a few things – expensive gadgets, gorgeous women, and fast cars. After all, you need all of these things if you’re going to be one of the best Secret Service agents in the world. Throughout all of the movies, we’ve been treated to some of the finest cars money can buy for us to ogle out. However, which of the 007-mobiles have been the best?

Aston Martin DBS – Casino Royale And Quantum of Solace

It seems as though James Bond and Aston Martin’s go hand in hand, and it was no different when Daniel Craig stepped into the famous 007 shoes. Unfortunately, this sleek beauty met an unfortunate ending when Bond has to swerve out of the way of Vesper Lynd lying in the road – flipping the DBS seven times! Apparently, this was one of the hardest Bond car stunts to film, too!

Ford Mustang Mach 1 – Diamonds Are Forever

It’s unusual to see Bond in an American muscle car, but this Mach 1 was one of the highlights of Diamonds Are Forever. It was also part of one of the funniest continuity errors in a Bond film. While Sean Connery and Tiffany Case play cat-and-mouse with the cops in downtown Las Vegas, he comes across an alley too narrow to fit the car through. Bond tips the car onto its passenger-side wheels to squeeze through, but lands on the driver-side wheels. Apparently, the scenes were filmed in different locations, which explains the hilarious rotating car shot while in the alley.

Aston Martin DB5 – Skyfall, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies, GoldenEye, Thunderball And Goldfinger

Could we really rank the best James Bond cars without including the car that kicked off our obsession with Bond cars? Of course, it wasn’t the first ever Bond car (he drove a Sunbeam Alpine in Dr. No), but it was so popular that it ended up in five other films after Goldfinger. If you ask someone to picture James Bond’s car, there’s a good chance they’re picturing the Aston Martin DB5.

Of course, Bond has had some seriously cool cars over the years that we’d need hours to list them all. However, we think these are definitely the best of the best.
