The company started as a family business that opened doors in 1810 and specialized in the production of coffee mills and bicycles. In 1858, Émile Peugeot created the lion trademark while Armand Peugeot built the company’s first car in 1889. In 1896, due to family discord, Armand Peugeot established the Société des Automobiles Peugeot, which has been manufacturing automobiles to this day.
Respecting the Past
In 2020, Peugeot celebrated its 210th-anniversary and decided to honor the company’s past by launching a new restoration and sales service for its classic automobile.
The vintage vehicles will be brought back to life at the workshops of the Musée de l’Aventure Peugeot in Sochaux, France. Once the restoration work is over, all automobiles will be granted a certificate of authenticity and will be sold to automotive and Peugeot aficionados.

All sales will be executed online, so more people can have the opportunity to purchase one of the brand’s most emblematic vehicles. The new sales section will be added to the company’s website in 2021.
Peugeot Owners Can Also Rejuvenate their Vehicles
In addition to the company’s new service, vehicle owners possessing classic models will be able to book their automobiles for a complete or partial restoration by the Peugeot experts.
The first automobile that will be restored at the company’s workshops is a black 1.9-liter Peugeot 205 GTI.

The restoration specialists at the Musée de l’Aventure Peugeot have already ensured a broad range of authentic spare parts by either salvaging them or producing them through 3D-manufacturing in case the items are no longer being made.
This new initiative is highly antiquated by Peugeot enthusiasts who wish to purchase a classic or have their vintage vehicles restored.
