It turns out that Porsche stays on top of their game, bringing you the same amount of power but in a different format. Take a closer look at what Porsche has to offer with their new 690bhp Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid model.

The Recent Panamera Update

The Panamera range was recently updated. The Turbo S E-Hybrid is back to take the spotlight of its predecessor 4-0 liter non-hybrid Turbo S and be the range-topping model of the line. The PTSEHST and PTSEH (five Internet points for working this one out) are powered by a twin-turbo 4.0 liter V*. However, they are complemented by a 134bhp electric motor, installed into the eight-speed PDK gearbox. The electric motor is connected to a battery of 17.9kWh, which is an updated version of the previous generation’s 14.1kWh. That being said, they added 31 miles of range in the newer model. Also, the old Turbo S E-Hybrid has “only” 671bhp.

A Step Up By Porsche

If you are interested in more stats about the new model, you will be amazed. The 0-62mph sprint takes 3.2 seconds, and it can hit a top speed of a stunning 196mph. Pair those high speeds with the new WLTP figures of 69g/km of CO2 and 94.6 mpg, and these stats look truly amazing and impressive.

Well Done, Porsche

As the flagship model manufactured by Porsche, the new Turbo S E-Hybrid also comes with the Panamera’s control systems and chassis as standard. This means that there are rear-wheel steering and ceramic brakes, called Torque Vectoring Plus, and the Porsche’s electric roll stabilization system is available. Still, there is no information available on how much this thing weighs yet.

With the introduction of this model, three new wheel designs and two new paint colors have been presented too – Cherry Metallic and Truffle Brown Metallic. What about the price, you might ask? It starts at a base price of £140,130 in the UK ($183,000), with the Sport Turismo version beginning at £142,280 ($185,000). Porsche later announced that there would be a new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid on top of the 4S E-hybrid. The newer version will get a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that’s connected to an electric motor for a total output of 456 bhp, with the price that starts at just under £84,000 ($109,000).
