Super Bowl ads are a thing of beauty unto themselves – they’re fun, they’re crafted well, they’re the best of the best in the advertising world! Every brand brings their A-game for their slots, and nobody does it like the car companies. Delivering thrills that keep you on the edge of your seat, these ads keep the fans glued even during breaks. From Toyota to Porsche, here are the top three car commercials that aired during Super Bowl LVI.
Toyota: “The Joneses”
The new Super Bowl Toyota ad “The Joneses” brings back the thrill by pitting three real Joneses against one another. Tommy Lee Jones, Rashida Jones, and Leslie Jones steer through the mountains as they race against each other in three, brand new 2022 Tundra pickups A special appearance by Nick Jonas, not Jones, capped off the ending perfectly.
Nissan: “Thrill Driver”
Actress Brie Larson is a familiar face in Nissan ads. But this year, the brand has added some extra star power with Dave Bautista, Danai Gurira, and Eugene Levy. The three, along with Larson, starred in an ad for Nissan 2023 Z sports car. The ad featured a movie within a movie, a high-speed car chase, and loads and loads of coffee. Nobody can say that Nissan didn’t pull out all the stops for its two-seater sports car.
Porsche: “Top Gun: Maverick X Porsche”
“I feel the need, the need for speed” — with this line, the SuperBowl Porsche ad combined the automaker and Maverick! The brand has come up with a crossover ad for the brand’s sports cars and the upcoming sequel of the Top Gun franchise. A Porsche was originally featured in the original movie, and based on this new ad, a new Porsche will possibly feature in the coming Top Gun: Maverick. Maybe this time around, it’ll be Tom Cruise’s Maverick and not his lady love behind the wheels of this luxury car.
