40. Fiat 500
The Fiat 500 or 500e is an electric car that’s instantly recognizable. It’s got a compact size with a classic look that’s easy to spot going down the road.
Since this car is so small, it’s a great choice for zipping around even if you don’t have a lot of garage space at home. The smaller battery will take you as far as 118 miles while the larger one goes 199 miles, so you’ll be able to use it whether you live in a dense city or a more spread rural $104.16 population.
39. Abarth 500e
When it comes to the Fiat, it actually inspired the design of the Abarth 500e. It’s not hard to see the visual differences between these two vehicles, either! There are a few key differences to consider, though.
For one, the Abarth can offer the convenience and look of an electric – they included a sound generator so that it sounds more like a traditional engine as well. Of course, that does add some noise. At 120 miles to a charge, this is still a reliable choice.
38. Hyundai Kona Electric
When you’ve been driving for a while and have formed your preferences, electric cars that seem to look and feel completely different can be a hard sell.
The good news is that designers have already started blending the “new” and “usual” looks of cars. Take the Hyundai Kona Electric. While being an electric car, it’s not quite as compact as a lot of the models you see, making it a good family car as well as a green choice.
37. Hyundai Ioniq 6
If you liked the Hyundai option we looked at but don’t really need all that space, don’t worry — Hyundai has more than one option for you to consider. Another Hyundai model that we love is the Hyundai Ioniq 6.

36. Lotus Eletre
The Lotus Eletre is a particularly good choice when you want to still be able to take your friends and family around or if you just enjoy a road trip in your retirement.
While a lot of electric cars are designed to be very compact, the Lotus Eletre is based more on a traditional SUV design, giving you a bit more space. The biggest criticism that this car gets is from fans of typical Lotus vehicles. However, that makes it the perfect choice for someone looking for something new and exciting.
35. Renault Scenic E-Tech
We have another one for you that will offer a less compact design for people who want a little more room to stretch out with the Renault Scenic E-Tech although it’s not cramped.
The only downside is that some people find that the backseat could use a bit more room. Don’t write it off just yet, though! There are also reports of the car handling incredibly smoothly, and there are extra safety features to help you out, like a pedestrian warning alert.
34. Maserati GranTurismo Folgore EV
There are some companies that car lovers wait with bated breath to see what they’ll come out with. Maseratis are known as luxury vehicles with a lot of features.
So, it’s no surprise to see the company step up with an entry to the electric car game. With a distinct look, the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore EV gives you luxury in a greener form in a TG Award-winning car. While it doesn’t have a battery under the car, they don’t sacrifice the back seats to fit it in.

Kias have a very distinct, boxy look, and the electric model the company offers — the Kia EV9 — doesn’t stray from what you’d expect from the company.

This is another option that gives you a lot of room to spread out, and a lot of the car uses recycled materials too. However, some users have complained that the screen system can be difficult at times.

The Polestar 2 was created in direct competition with Tesla, so they were ready to up their game and create a real piece of competition in the market. The sleek car can go quite some time, too — some users have seen results as impressive as 339 miles. The only complaint by some drivers is that the driver’s seat could be more comfortable.
27. Volkswagen ID.7
As you might have guessed from the naming convention, this isn’t the first iteration of the Volkswagen electric car, the ID. However, you know what they say, practice makes perfect.
This iteration seemed to perfect some of the earlier complaints about past models not being the most user-friendly at times. With these updates, this model is easier to use, easy to drive, and comfortable to relax in. The car boasts an impressive 435 miles per charge, according to the company, so you can stay moving!

22. Tesla Model Y
The Tesla Model Y is another car that helped break through onto the electric car scene and make the whole idea a lot more popular than it was a decade ago.
The car drives smoothly, and the interior is gorgeous and spacious, although some families tend to shy away from the stark white interior. The car can also come with a learning curve to set up, but once you have your preferences inputted, you can save them so you can have everything set to your liking without too much adjusting later.
